Features:
The I-Stop probe is a device designed to fit into the KS port of the Network passives, which allows a CATV field technician to use the 20dB test point to test signal levels and isolate the return input without affecting customer services. The I-Stop contains AC blocking circuitry that allows you to connect to your signal level meter without introducing voltage to your test equipment (up to 100vac).
In some cases, it is necessary to measure signal levels or view the spectrum where there are no amplifier test points or free ports on the TAP. The I-Stop probe allows a technician to connect to any KS port on either Splitters, Couplers or TAPs and perform a test directly from the retaining screw. Simply screw I-STOP into one of these points, connect the field meter to the test port and then press the button on the side of the filter. If the displayed head-end input decreases by 4 to 6 dB when the button is pressed, the source of the input is farther away from the node than the test point. If the input does not decrease then it is closer to the node than the test point. I-Stop has no visible effect on the direct signals.
Connecting to a KS port gives the I-Stop reverse test probe the technology and ability to verify levels/spectrum without disconnecting active clients and helps avoid RF power removal that could eliminate the accumulated ingress at the end of line terminators being the fastest and safest way to track ingress with any meter whether DSAM, DSP or ONX by leveraging the head-end ingress view, while saving time and operating expenses.
