Next-generation digital frequency-modulation tagging

The CT-X, used as an end-to-end system together with VIAVI's Seeker X leak detectors, can dramatically increase leak detection sensitivity while ignoring false leaks.

The CT-X, which can generate up to four tagged carriers simultaneously to fit anywhere in the channel lineup, delivers unprecedented leak detection coverage.

The CT-X solution generates a novel, revolutionary digital frequency-modulation tag that is used together with the Seeker X detector to find leaks that other systems cannot detect. Improved leak detection sensitivity and positive leak identification provide more thorough and accurate coverage of your plant during drive tests, as well as much more efficient search-and-repair workflows for field technicians.

The CT-X also generates dual continuous-wave tags compatible with Seeker D, so it works with Seeker X, Seeker D, and Seeker D Lite detectors. This lets operators use the new Seeker X device alongside existing detectors with a single CT-X transmitter.

When several cable systems operate in the same area, it is often difficult to determine which system is the source of a detected leak. The CT-X was designed to address the problem of leak identification in multi-network HFC environments.

Easy to install

Whether using the front-panel buttons or the web interface, the CT-X is very easy and quick to install where radio-frequency signals are located at the headend. The CT-X tagger installs very easily in the rack near the combiner and requires only 1RU of space.
