The Viavi NanoOSA allows speeding up the implementation, maintenance and troubleshooting of both passive and active fiber optic networks, both CWDM and DWDM (with 50/100/200 GHz spacing). This equipment automatically scans any CWDM or DWDM system in the complete range of wavelengths, automatically registering all the channels with the ITU-T channel number (ch), wavelength or frequency, displacement, power level, optical signal-to-noise ratio (OSNR), among other important test parameters. It allows OSNR measurements using the ON-OFF method required in systems with reconfigurable filters (taking noise power at the center of the channel). A very innovative feature of the module is that it includes an integrated SFP/SFP+ slot for tuning and validation of SFPs. This allows reducing the channel activation time, improving performance in yourWDM services commissioning processes.
